This is a particualry special beach house was one of the only homes in the area to be spared during the devastating 2015 Wye River fires. Because of this, it felt vital to protect the spirit of this unique home while gently bringing it into a new generation. We took on the complex sloping site and challenging access with confidence, ensuring a seamless build from day one. To make the absolute most of the incredible bay views, we designed and built an extensive deck. Crucially, this deck, along with the rest of the renovation, was made to meet the high Bushfire Attack Level (BAL-29)—requiring the significant use of non-combustible and bushfire-resisting materials. This commitment to detail and resilience ensures this home truly withstands the test of time.
